It’s a shame that we likely will not be privileged to watch Eastwood’s work for much longer. While this film wasn’t to the level of Million Dollar Baby or Gran Torino, it was a great father / daughter film in which Amy Adams performed well in one of her better roles. John Goodman and Justin Timberlake also contribute and complement nicely to the film. Any sports fan and especially baseball fan will appreciate the movie, but all moviegoers will walk away knowing their time was well spent.
