Eric Fisher (OT – CMU) – Big lineman that looks like the next small college tackle star. Has firmly moved into the top of the first round. In this draft, I could see him get as high as top five.
David Quessenberry (OL – SJSU) – Really stood out each day I’ve watched him. Not a first rounder most likely, but some team will get a solid starter in the second/third round.
Lane Johnson (OL – OU) – The Sooner lineman who is a converted QB has been very impressive this week. A speedy guy that would be great on pull and downfield blocks for a run focused team. He has a reservation with the first round.
Desmond Trufant (CB – WAS) – Not the size that some teams are looking for, but a speedy corner with shutdown ability. I think he’s moving close to first round territory.
Jonathan Franklin (RB – UCLA) – A speedy back that displayed good hands thus far in practice. He is improving his stock and moving up the running back rankings.
Quin Patton (WR – LATECH) – He was already on my watch list, but is now on many people’s list. Patton is proving why he had such impressive numbers last season in Dykes La Tech offense. He is quickly rising up the board and is now somewhere in the second to third round.
Kyle Long (OL – ORE) – Kyle is the son of Howie and brother of Chris (Rams). He is very raw, but you can see the nice upside. However, tackle is probably not an option right now as he needs to be inside.
John Simon (DE – OSU) – His coverage skills are lacking as he was continually beat this week in pass defense, even ending up on the ground a few times. However, his blitzing skills are elite. He will be an early round option at DE but doesn’t look to have versatility to play OLB like some of the higher rated options.
Mike Glennon (QB – NCST) – He has been probably the most impressive quarterback thus far (although Landry Jones has looked good too). However, I still do not see a born leader and the same spark you saw last year in Russell Wilson, RG3, or Andrew Luck. I think he can be molded into a good quarterback, but I don’t expect him to step in day one like he may have to do.
Tyler Wilson (QB – ARK) – I really want to like this guy, but I still just don’t see it. He has good size and a decent arm, but his accuracy is still a big concern.
Zac Dysert (QB – MIAOH) – Dysert is looking more and more like a guy that is built more for a clipboard than a helmet.
Denard Robinson (WR – MICH) – Thus far, Robinson looks to be as poorly equipped to be a wideout as he was to be a quarterback. In his defense, it is new to him and you do still notice that speed that will ultimately be the aspect of his game that gets him drafted.
